The Rock The Vote campaign in association with Hot Press is now in full swing. The campaign has visited towns, cities, and college across the country with the message that 'Every Voice Counts'.Armed with freebies and a whole pile of knowledge the campaign team will endeavour to push people to register to vote. Students will be told how to get their name on the supplementary register and how easy it is to get a postal vote.
For those who may ask 'what this voting stuff is all about?', we've got the answer. Rock The Vote is launching MyCandidate.ie later today. The site will have information on all the candidates running in the election. Diverse facts such as political background, priorities, family, directorships etc are all there for your information.
In the coming weeks, the campaign will show videos from the likes of Mundy, The Thrills, Dara O'Briain, Mario Rosenstock, Rosanna Davison and Colin Farrell, who've pitched in to give their thoughts on voting.
Some of these rather amusing shorts will be broadcast on TV while others will be found on the rockthevote.ie website.
